Job Summary: The Data Analyst will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports. This individual will work closely with different departments to identify business needs and translate them into data requirements and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect, process, and clean data from various sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
- Reporting and Visualization:
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Present data findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Statistical Analysis:
- Apply statistical techniques and models to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Conduct hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other statistical analyses as needed.
- Business Intelligence:
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve business processes and outcomes.
- Data Quality and Governance:
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data by performing regular data audits and validation checks.
- Develop and enforce data quality standards and best practices.
- Data Integration:
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse.
- Ensure data is stored and managed effectively for easy access and analysis.
- Predictive Analytics:
- Use machine learning and predictive modeling techniques to forecast future trends and behaviors.
- Implement and monitor predictive models to enhance decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Certification in data analytics or data science (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Certified Analytics Professional).
